A core value of Marshallton Church is to encourage spiritual growth in its members. We can always learn more about God’s plans for us so we offer a variety of different opportunities for study, growth and sharing.

Pastor’s Bible Studies

Since coming to Marshallton, Pastor David has started two Bible Studies.  Adults and interested youth or young adults are all welcome.

  • Thursday evenings 7 pm
  • Monday afternoons 1 pm

Both groups are currently studying the gospel of Mark to go along with some of our Sunday morning readings.   Both studies are likely to take a break over the summer and resume with new topics in the fall.  Email pastordavid.mumc@gmail.com for more info.

Women’s Bible Study

A weekly Bible/book study is held Wednesdays at 10:00 am during the school year. The group is open to all adults.

Men’s Ministry – United Methodist Men (UMM)

The Men’s Fellowship at Marshallton Church is active in mission and ministry.  They meet for dinner and fellowship in Fellowship Hall from September to May on the 4th  Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM.  They offer a variety of speakers and programs throughout the year.

The goals of United Methodist Men include fundraising to help support selected missions locally, nationally, and worldwide. Another goal is to provide fellowship and spiritual development for the guys. All men are welcome!! This group sponsors the annual church flower sale held in May with proceeds going to mission work.

Women’s Ministry – United Women in Faith (UMIF formerly in UMW)

All ladies of the church are invited to be a part of this group. We meet on a quarterly basis, usually: January, April, July, and October on the 4th. Tuesday of these months at 6:30 PM in the church library!

Our mission is to support the cause of women and children locally and globally.  Our meetings include refreshments, fellowship, programs, and business matters and occasionally a special speaker or project. We also attend district and conference UMW meetings when we are able!

We offer a reading program with many great books available in the church library!

Members are asked to make an annual pledge to mission work and other offerings.
