Marshallton United Methodist Church
Who we are!
I have been here 8 years and I am still amazed at how unique the Marshallton United Methodist congregation is. We are not a large congregation. Our average worship attendance is 75-85, but we do large ministries with passion. I call us "the Little Church That Could." It is quite an eclectic blend of generations and viewpoints. We currently have one worship service at 10:30 a.m. (10:00 a.m. July through August) that is traditional-leans-toward-casual in style. You find suits to blue jeans.
We house a Christian Preschool 3 days a week, several Scout troops, Alcoholics Anonymous, Radio Club, and the Marshallton Grange. We have a very active youth ministry, and usually at least one big mission project in planning or process. We have an adult Christian education class on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. and an out-of-the box seekers group meeting Sunday afternoons, as well as nursery through Sr. high groups, a Care Team (prayer and blanket ministry), and Cherub, Sunday School, and Senior Choirs. Instead of an "either-or," there is a "both-and" attitude that makes this congregation unique in my experience.
We are located in an historic village where Revolutionary War events took place, yet on a very busy main artery to West Chester(4 miles East) and Downingtown (4 miles North). It takes about 15 minutes to get here from Exton.
