UMC.org, the official online ministry of The United Methodist Church, provides the following reviews on an ongoing basis. Check back at the suggested frequency to learn of updates

Music Reviews

Twice-a-month critical reviews of three recently released albums of various genres. Music Reviews is unique because it pays special attention to the spiritual elements of each compilation.

Book Reviews

Once-a-month critical review of a recently released book of fiction or non-fiction. Book Reviews is unique because it pays special attention to the spiritual and human condition elements of the narrative.

UMC.org feels a responsibility to only highlight books that we believe are worth your time to read, and spend your money on. The intent of Book Reviews is not simply to promote the book, but to encourage small group interaction and discussion. Along with each review comes a list of study questions and activities, providing a basis for further examination.

Movie Reviews

Twice-a-month reviews of a current film in wide release. Films are viewed through a spiritual lens, as opposed to focusing on the art form itself, they are assessed for their spiritual and social elements.
